Gender Equality at Accenture Australia and New Zealand

Accenture believes the future workforce is an equal one. We are committed to a 50/50 gender-balanced workforce by 2025.
  • We are working together across the globe to accelerate a culture of equality and make a world of difference and it is why we are constantly enabling change for our people with visible and non-apparent disabilities to perform at their full potential.
  • Our people have access to technology and tools that allow persons with disabilities to succeed in a barrier-free workplace.
  • We are leading the discussion on disability inclusion, mental health and accessibility in the workplace.
  • We are working to achieve a gender-balanced workforce by 2025. This means, a workforce that is equally 50% women and 50% men for those whose gender is binary. In ANZ, currently we’re at 39.2% women.
  • Accenture offers Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART) leave a paid medical appointment leave to ensure our expectant parents are taking the time they need to seek medical treatment, guidance, or support during this important stage in their lives.
  • Accenture provides up to 37.5 hours of paid Carers leave in a 12-month period to assist employees who provide care to an adult or senior family member (or close friend); or for a person with a disability.
  • Accenture has a range of flexible work arrangement options designed to support an individual, while also balancing the needs of our clients and our business.
  • Family and domestic violence leave may be taken when any person working for Accenture is subject to violent, threatening or other abusive behaviour by a family member or close kin, current partner or former partner, that seeks to coerce or control, or cause harm or fear.
  • Accenture recently launched a Menopause forum support which is committed to building a supportive and enabling environment for employees impacted by menstrual and menopausal symptoms, and conditions such as endometriosis.
  • Working with the Australian Business and Community Network, Accenture created Girls in STEM events to give young girls from low socio-economic areas access to technology and innovation workshops and role models.

Claire McCaffery, ANZ HR Lead, shares what we're doing to further advance gender equality and how we're empowering our people to be without limits.
