The Accenture Canada Story

Accenture was founded in the 1950s under Arthur Andersen’s accounting firm. In 1989, Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting became separate parts of the Andersen Worldwide Société Coopérative.

Andersen Consulting became Accenture in January 2001. Accenture was formed to mean “Accent on the future”. The name was presented by Kim Petersen, a Danish Andersen Consulting employee. In the same year, on 19th July, Accenture opened its public offering at $14.50 per share and raised over a billion dollars that day.

From the 2000s to the 2010s, Accenture opened several branches worldwide and made a couple of important partnerships.

Culture and Vibes

Accenture embraces a culture of support, innovation, and teamwork. They combine comfort and productivity, placing employees in work environments that are enjoyable, spirited, fair, and result-oriented.

Accenture’s workplace is a haven for innovation and somewhere the brightest minds get together to great effect. The firm offers excellent work-life balance and gives employees tools to help them remain in sync with the ever-changing world.

Recruitment Process

Recruitment at Accenture is a journey to personal discovery and is designed to help graduates and interns put their best selves on display. Accenture as an equal opportunity gives every graduate and intern an equal chance at employment.

Graduate and internship applicants commence their recruitment journey at Accenture with a job search on the company’s website. After finding roles that suit their passion and skills, applicants can proceed to provide detailed information as they submit a tailored resume.

After submitting a resume, recruiters at Accenture study each application and select the best-suited candidates for interviews. Some interviews may include assessments while others are plain interview sessions.

Interviews at Accenture are always a two-way street and are an opportunity for graduates and interns to learn about the company.

When all interview requirements have been met, a hiring team decides on graduates and internship candidates. Accenture’s recruitment team gives feedback on how to be better at their interviews and offers suited candidates employment at the firm.

After the offer is accepted, graduates and interns are onboarded and given further details on their roles at the company.

Facebook has indeed distanced itself from the partnership, knowing how much negative media they were already dealing with
