Some of the best parts of my job are interacting with people with different personalities and helping them improve their day to day operations.

What's your job about?

My job is to complete projects that have been given to me by Operation / Site Managers during different parts of my rotation, as of writing this I am just about to complete my Operation rotation. During the first month I worked as a storeperson; picking, packing receiving, returns. Though it didn’t seem relevant at the time, it has helped me out greatly when helping other store people, supervisors, and managers to bring new ideas to the table. One project I’ve completed was building a PowerPoint computer using a credit card size pc (Raspberry Pi) and allowing users to use a remote control to change slides on the presentation for use as a daily dashboard.

What's your background?

I was originally from Albury but move to Sydney when I was 2,

Completed High School in 2012.
Started the wrong university degree in 2013. (Engineering)
Change Courses in 2014. (ICT)
Worked jobs during university studies. (Car Wash Attendant, Liquor Attendant, and Go Kart Supervisor)
Graduated in 2016 from university with a Credit Point Average.
Started with DHL Supply Chain in 2017

Could someone with a different background do your job?

Yes, Absolutely. Each person brings a new perspective to the company, and the more varied the better.

What's the coolest thing about your job?

Some of the best parts of my job are interacting with people with different personalities and helping them improve their day to day operations. Another cool part is working on varying and interesting projects, such as the one I mention earlier.

What are the limitations of your job?

The limitation is the travel to different sites, Matraville all the way to Horsley Park and several in between. The travel can be both a positive and negative, as each site has different clients from different sectors such as Technology, Life Science and Healthcare and Retail.
