About Google

Google, the tech titan, has revolutionized its digital landscape with its ubiquitous search engine, enabling instant access to the world's information. Beyond search, it has diversified into a myriad of services, from Gmail to Android, and consistently pushes the boundaries of innovation, all while navigating complex questions of data privacy and ethics. As a symbol of the internet age, Google remains an indomitable force shaping their interconnected world.

Your role

About the Internship:

The Student Researcher Program’s primary objective is to foster academic collaborations with students through research at Google. Join them for a paid Student Researcher position that offers the opportunity to work directly with Google research scientists and engineers on research projects.

The Student Researcher Program offers more opportunities for research students to work on critical research projects at Google in a less structured way. The program allows opportunities beyond the limitations of their traditional internship program on aspects such as duration, time commitment, and working location (with options for on-site or remote). The topics student researchers work on tend to be open-ended and exploratory, and don't always have a clear deliverable like a traditional internship would.

Google Research is building the next generation of intelligent systems for all Google products. To achieve this, they’re working on projects that utilize the latest computer science techniques developed by skilled software engineers and research scientists. Google Research teams collaborate closely with other teams across Google, maintaining the flexibility and versatility required to adapt new projects and foci that meet the demands of the world's fast-paced business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in research to develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.

Training & development

At Google, student researchers undergo a transformative journey of training, immersing themselves in cutting-edge projects & collaborative environments. Through mentorship from seasoned professionals and access to state-of-the-art resources, they cultivate a deep understanding of research methodologies and innovative problem-solving techniques. This experiential learning equips them with the skills and mindset to tackle complex challenges and contribute meaningfully to Google's mission of advancing technology for the benefit of all.

Salary & benefits

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 to $122,000.

If you join as a full-time employee, you will get the following benefits:

  • Health and wellness
  • Financial wellbeing
  • Generous 401(k) and regional retirement plans
  • Paid time off, including vacation, bereavement, jury duty, sick leave, parental leave, disability, and holidays
