Your Impact:

At Jacobs, we know that when it comes to a world that’s smarter, more connected and more sustainable, digital solutions are an important thread linking it all together.

In our digital advisory work, we’re leveraging innovative technologies and big data analytics to solve the world’s most critical challenges. From shaping the safer cities of tomorrow, to protecting against climate change – we’re combining diverse talents with deep client-application experience and digital intelligence to deliver solutions that connect people and places with the means to work smarter and live better, and make an enduring, positive difference in the world.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Geospatial Consultant to join our Sydney Geospatial Solutions team in 2025. Our Geospatial Solutions team is one of the largest, most diverse geospatial teams amongst Engineering and Professional Services Companies in the world. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of professionals in a dynamic team environment working across many sectors including infrastructure, environment, water, government, energy and Defence. Through this you’ll contribute to a variety of different projects and challenges – and we’ll mentor you each step of the way to ensure you’re set up for success.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Ideally, by January 2025 you'll hold a university degree in Geomatics, Applied Science, and/or Information Technology. This is a unique role that requires applicants to hold the right to work in Australia. Bring your curiosity, collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.

Our 2025 Graduate Program

As a Graduate at Jacobs, you’ll be a valued member of our team from Day 1 and work on real projects, bids and tenders from the get-go. From gaining hands-on experience, to participating in networking events and structured learning sessions, you’ll find new and inventive ways to help our clients make the world a better place.

Our teams offer a supportive environment to help you to learn, grow and excel. Working under the guidance and mentorship of our experts and industry leaders, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge to deliver the boldest solutions for the extraordinary and the everyday.

We see graduates as the future leaders of our business, which is why we’re delighted to have placed #13 in the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Graduate Employers award for ‘Most Popular Employer’ in 2023! No matter what drives you, you’ll discover how you can cultivate, nurture, and achieve your goals – all at a single global company.

Jacobs. A world where you can.

From our inclusive employee networks, to our positive mental health champions – we’re committed to driving a culture of caring where you can be you. We know that if we are inclusive, we’re more connected, and if we are diverse, we’re more creative. We accept people for who they are, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, mental health, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and whether you’re pregnant or on family leave. This is reflected in our wide range of Global Employee Networks centred on inclusion and diversity – ACE, Careers, Enlace, Harambee, OneWorld, Prism, Vetnet, and Women’s Network.

With safety, accessibility and flexibility always top of mind, we’ve gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximise your potential. You’ll uncover flexible working arrangements, benefits, and opportunities to do good too – from participating in our global giving and volunteering program, to delivering ever more innovative and sustainable solutions for clients and communities.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and encourage candidates of diverse backgrounds to apply. First Nations peoples are strongly encouraged to apply. Jacobs aims to provide cultural safety at our interviews and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are invited to nominate a cultural representative to participate on the interview panel, please let your recruiter know in your application.

Graduate Success Stories

  • Graduate stories
It’s the extra roles and committees outside of project work that I treasure most and that makes me feel included. Roles such as being the lead of the First Nations Committee; this role allows me to embrace my culture and heritage within the business and gives me the confidence to bring the complete ‘Nick’ to work every day.
