AXA NexGen: Redefining Internship Standards

AXA Philippines

The NexGen Program was designed to provide university students with meaningful work experience that supplements their curriculum while also contributing to AXA’s business.

Last August 1, AXA’s NexGen Interns bid the company farewell, as their stint with AXA Philippines came to an end. ELT, managers, and members of the different divisions came together, to celebrate the occasion.

The NexGen Program was designed to provide university students with meaningful work experience that supplements their curriculum while also contributing to AXA’s business. This year, 27 students from the country’s top universities were selected out of more than a hundred who applied. Each intern went through a panel interview so they can be assigned to business projects that match their skills and interests.

After two months of numerous tasks, real-life business cases, brand awareness sessions, workshops, and other trainings, the program came to a conclusion on August 1, 2018, marked by the Culminating Activity held at the GT Tower Penthouse in Makati.

The event commenced with a speech by Chief Human Resources Officer, Jaspreet Kakar, who welcomed everyone and who commended the interns for completing the course.

The interns were then given the floor to showcase their projects, sharing their insights, experiences, as well as numerous anecdotes that didn’t fail to entertain the crowd.

After dinner, Talent Acquisition and Branding Manager, Jean Tamondong, presented the Pride of AXA awards to interns who demonstrated exceptional work performance, as well as exhibited AXA’s Core Values of Customer First, Integrity, Courage, and One AXA.

Learning and Development Director, Peachy Felix, ended the night by congratulating all the participants for a job well done.

AXA Philippines hopes that these young aspirants continue to grow and become commendable individuals, as they have boundless potential to excel professionally.
