Your role

The Global Investment Banking business focuses on building long-term relationships with more than 3,000 large multinational corporations, financial institutions and financial sponsors. They provide strong advisory expertise, capitalizing on powerful mergers and acquisitions, corporate banking, treasury, debt and equity product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions. They have a significant presence in the Americas, Europe, Emerging Markets (ex-Asia) and Asia Pacific. The group serves the complex needs of a wide range of clients across sectors and regions.

By developing long-term, trusted relationships with clients, the Global Investment Banking team offers innovative solutions as clients consider strategic and transformational transactions. Within a focused industry or product group, full-time analysts help orchestrate capital raising and strategic advisory transactions.

What you’ll do

As a full-time analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models
  • Performing various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences
  • Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
  • Preparation of presentations and other materials for clients
  • Participation in due diligence sessions, communications and interaction with deal team members
  • Management of several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Work on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product and country coverage groups, providing you with a unique learning opportunity
  • Help the team deliver solutions to clients leveraging the full spectrum of the bank's capabilities
  • Develop and leverage upon a truly global network - learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe
  • Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career options and opportunities

Training, development & rotation

Training begins when you join newly hired analysts from around the world for an intensive and highly structured few weeks to learn about the global company, its culture and all the relevant tools, techniques and working practices you’ll need to succeed. You'll also receive grounding in your chosen business area, as you develop your professional skills and team-working capabilities. On return to your local office, you'll take on additional responsibility at an early stage. With ongoing development opportunities throughout the program, you'll be encouraged to grow your abilities through on-the-job learning and structured training.

About you

What Bank of America is looking for:

  • Final year Undergraduate/Master’s student with outstanding academic achievement
  • Must demonstrate a track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
