Your role

Responsibilities:

• Create original articles, videos, and slideshows.
• Gather original content from the local TV station’s newsroom and curate a wide variety of stories from other sources, including blogs, newspapers, online publications, and magazines.
• Assist in producing the homepage carrousel when needed and oversee the quality of main pages and subsections of the website.
• Actively engage the community through content.
• Collaborate with news producers, managers, and photographers across the group to concept content
• Assist with the management of social media platforms via graphics, data visualization, and feed interactions.
• Identify, search, and collect daily news content and curate it for social media publishing.
• Work alongside digital editor, news producers, reporters, and assignment desk editors to create content for digital platforms.
• Pitch report and write news and feature stories.
• Cut video from linear shows for website use, and social media for digital and social media use.
• Produce vertical videos for social media platforms i.e.TikTok, and Instagram.

About you

Qualifications:

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be available to work at least 30 hours per week.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish (written and verbal fluently).  
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Need to be able to work on-site in Las Vegas, NV.
