Your role

  • UBS is looking for someone to be part of a business that provides integrated advisory and fundraising solutions across the different verticals of the Private Funds Group (“PFG”): Primary Fundraising, Liquidity / Strategic Solutions and Real Estate Advice / Fundraising solutions

In this role, you will be involved in the origination and execution of the mandates and also provide distribution and general marketing support across the verticals.

  • Primary Fundraising: working closely with the GP clients throughout a fundraising process from preparation through to final closing
  • Liquidity / Strategic Solutions: be involved in restructuring funds and assisting institutional investors seeking to liquidate or monetise their holdings
  • Real Estate: gain insight into fundraising, advisory, restructuring and recapitalisation assignments across a broad range of real estate market sub-segments
  • Support the team’s origination efforts across the verticals, contributing to pitch presentations and gaining an understanding of market trends and participants
  • You will get the chance to work on several projects concurrently across the different verticals with exposure to the global Advisory and Distribution teams as well as establishing working relationships with teams across the wider Global Banking business

 

Training & development

As a member of PFG, you’ll be working in the Alternative Capital Group (“ACG”) within Global Banking, providing advisory services to private fund sponsors. In this role, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the primary and secondary fundraising markets as well as the real estate sector. You’ll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters including primary capital raises and secondary market solutions.

About you

Your expertise

  • You need to be in the penultimate or final year of your degree, or recently graduated but no more than 6 months from the start date of the internship. In addition, you need to have or be on track for a 2:1 (UK grading system) or the equivalent in your first undergraduate degree.

It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. But UBS likes to see evidence that you can:

Alongside evidence for working well as part of a team, as part of demonstrating data analysis and content creation skills UBS is looking for candidates proficient in MS Office notably Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with an ability to draw out and present key conclusions from their work. For Global Banking you need to be a high-performing candidate who can multi-task effectively, and showcase strong time management skills, with an ability to work to defined deadlines.
