In India, the average salary for data science specialists grew by 25.4% year on year to INR 16.8 lakhs per year.

  • In comparison to previous year, the percentage of data science experts in the INR 15-25 lakhs and 25-50 lakhs brackets increased dramatically from 14.5% to 20.5% and 7.8% to 13.7%, respectively.

  • Professionals in the 6-10 year category showed the greatest increase in compensation, up 55.5% to INR 20.4 lakhs per year. Professional salaries grew by 52.5% in 10-12 years and 49.2% in 3-6 years, respectively.
  • Salary increase for professionals with 0-3 years of experience is 42.8%, which is lower than that of professionals with 3-12 years of experience.
  • Due to a greater salary base than other categories, the rise for professionals with more than 12 years of experience was the smallest, at 25.2%.
